About
Us
The Ledbetter Pecan Company now has a new
name on the web - PecanShop.com. To those unfamiliar
with our family business, this may be just another website that
sells pecans and pecan-cracking services. But to our old friends,
this new site is just a "new-fangled" extension of the
business that has consistently served folks with a smile and a handshake
for years. While our business is changing to meet the demands of
our fast-paced world, we still understand the value of customer
service and satisfaction. We treat people right.
The Good Old Days
It was a simpler time... back in the early 1950's.
Folks knew their neighbors, and deals
were made with a
handshake. A man was only as good as his word. Honesty and integrity
were of upmost importance, and work was a way of life. Glenn Ledbetter
planted pecan trees on his land long before he knew that
the pecan business would one day make his
living. Some
of the pecan trees are over 40 years old! Pecan-cracking equipment
was purchased, and a family homestead was
used as the original Pecan House. So began
our business. We've had the pleasure of serving many friends and
neighbors over the years, and hope that you find your visit to our
new home on the web a pleasant one.
The
tradition carries on.
These are the roots of The Ledbetter
Pecan Company. Glenn and Jackie Ledbetter ran their business with
the same values that they instilled in their
four
sons. Now, that tradition carries on with PecanShop.com. We're still
family-owned, and our new location is not far from the original homestead.
Glen and Jackie still offer valuable advice, and a wealth of great
memories.
Welcome
to our website!
Folks come from miles around to do their pecan business here.
They like how they're greeted and treated. You will, too. No matter
where you are, you can "just stop by" any time with your computer.
So welcome, neighbor! We look forward to doing business with
you.
